Make The Most Of A Day Inside

The weather this week hasn't been great. It might not be great for a while. But how on earth are you meant to relax and enjoy the outdoors when, if you go outside, you get soaked by rain, frozen by the cold or swept over by the wind? It may sound like I'm exaggerating, but it was like something out of Wuthering Heights outside our office yesterday.

The answer to this quandary is simple: invest in some high quality, comfortable conservatory furniture now. A lot of the ranges on websites like Alfresia are currently reduced, and there are many online conservatory furniture sales. This means it is be a smart time to invest.

Conservatory furniture is a great way to enjoy the view of your garden, without being subjected to whatever the conditions are outside. In winter and early spring you can watch your garden start to come back to life without getting bitten by the wind. In later months, you can cool off in your conservatory, with a healthy breeze blowing through the windows.

Conservatory furniture comes in numerous styles and materials. This means that there is a suite to suit all tastes.

If you're going for a modern and stylish look, you could try the Tuscany Designer Resin Wicker Suite. The VIRO Resin is all weather meaning that you can leave the suite inside in the winter and then, in the summer months, you can take it outside and leave it there - you enjoy the best of both worlds. Even better, the resin wicker is available in traditional brown or stylish black and there are 4 different colour choices for the cushions! The suite price is down to 50%, and there are only a few left in stock!

More traditional looking, the Penang Cane and Sea Grass suite is great value for money - the cushions are reflex foam, making them comfy and durable and the chairs are constructed of the highest quality cane. The seats offer something to relax on in your conservatory.

Whatever you choose, conservatory furniture is the only way to use your conservatory! If you invest now, you'll save greatly in the long run as the prices will be greater in the summer.

How to design conservatories and garden rooms

Conservatories and garden rooms are often confused for one another but their function is quite different. a garden room is an attachment to the house, while a conservatory, although attached to the house, is part of the garden.

The emphasis in a traditional conservatory is on growing decoratve plants underglass. Its furnishing and flooring will therefore have to sustain frequent watering and general plant husbandry. Where as, in a garden room, the room will be furnished as part of the house and is merely decorated with plants.

There is an increasing range of conservatories on the market, with styles ranging from gothic to modern. Many are constructed from softwoods and then painted white, but this treatment requires regular maintenance and repainting. Plants my be sited in pots on the ground, in beds, or on raised shelving. Considerable care and maintenace of plants is required however, so investing in an automatic watering device might be smart. Whilst it might seem like a great deal of effort, a conservatory will be a great space for entertaining in the summer and provides a haven of green in winter.

A garden room can be used as a summer sitting-room, but since large areas of glass are essential, but they must be double glazed or else it will become too hot in summer or cold in winter. Unless well-controlled, the uses to which a garden room can be put are limited by temperature. Nevertheless it makes an excellent work space or games room for children.

When using you garden room/conservatory as a living space, we supply an excellent range of garden room furniture and conservatory furniture, in a range of materials such as cane and aluminium.

Cane Dining Furniture & Why You Should Buy Cane Furniture

Alfresia supplies garden furniture, conservatory furniture, garden accessories etc. We also have a stock of cane dining furniture. This stock is fantastic value for money, and we are currently offering all sets at an even-more-reduced rate!
The Seville Round Dining Set is a prime example of the kind of dining experience we can offer. An attractive cane dining set, the Seville is coloured by a striking dark walnut wash and features a 105 cm rubber top, comfortably fitting the four dark walnut cane chairs around it. Cushions are supplied with the set and are hand made, to order, at our factory in Manchester.

There are many advantages to buying cane furniture, not least environmentally: cane plantations are usually managed very carefully so as not to damage the environment around them and because cane is grown for the purpose of construction, and is replanted swiftly, the process does not have the same impact as logging in the rainforest - rather it is quite carbon neutral. Equally, cane is an exceptionally durable material, and cane products will last a lot longer than others on the market - this longevity means a set of cane furniture is fantastic value for money, especially if it is kept inside. Additionally, cane furniture is aesthetically pleasing, our designs are quite unique and cane is an elegant material, setting cane furniture far and above other kinds - it is far more pleasing to the eye than metal, plastic or cheap wood etc.

All these are great reasons to check out our Cane Dining Sets on Alfresia Garden Furniture today.
